"Saying and Doing the Gospel Today: Exploring Principles for Worship Space for
Seasonal Celebrations of the Mass"
Using parish examples – some of them yours! – explore principles for worship
space that enhance the life of the worshiping assembly. The former executive
director of the ELCA’s art and design studio will lead this "tour" of
contributed and collected environments for the Mass reflective of various
seasons of the church year. From these examples of seasonal worship
environments, principles for worship space will be brought to life. At the
same time participants will benefit from seeing examples of the creativity of
their peers. Participants will be expected to contribute in advance examples
(images) of seasonal worship environments from their ministry context; and be
familiar with ELCA Renewing Worship principles for worship space.
